Hundreds of members of the NYU community and NYC’s startup ecosystem gathered at Paulson Auditorium on Oct. 4 for the 13th Annual NYU Entrepreneurs Festival, our largest event of the year.

The event kicked off with Welcome & Opening Remarks with Frank Rimalovski, Executive Director of the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, and Shay Gaskins, Associate Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship.

Next up was the day's main event: The keynote discussion with Dan Porter (GSAS '95), Founder of Overtime, and moderator Joshua Pierce (Tisch '18), Founder of The Diversity Org. Porter and Pierce led an energetic conversation on a diverse range of topics that included making the most of your time as an NYU student, remaining competitive in your industry, building a rockstar startup team, expanding your business model, and key takeaways from the journey of a successful startup founder.

Following the keynote discussion was the Annual "Starting a Startup While in School" Panel, comprising four NYU alumni who launched their ventures during their studies. This year's Panel included:

After a networking break, it was time for the for the 7th Annual NYU Startup Demo Day competition, featuring the 2024 teams from the Stern Venture Fellowship and Summer Launchpad.

Each team pitched their venture on stage for three minutes, after which the crowd voted for the Audience Choice winner via a mobile poll. And this year's Demo Day Audience Choice winners were ...

Aryan Govil (CAS ‘24) and Eric Yao (CAS ‘24) of Synaptrix Labs!

Thank you to everyone who came out to this year's NYU Entrepreneurs Festival. And much gratitude to our generous sponsors who helped us bring the 2024 Festival to life: Brown Rudnick, Fenwick & West, Blackstone LaunchpadRooled, Goodwin, Greycroft, and the Max Stenbeck Charitable Fund!
