The Geopipe team is excited to bring you a major update: following a highly competitive selection process, Geopipe has been named the Grand Prize winner of the GENIUS NY startup accelerator, besting 4 other teams from around the globe and winning $1,000,000 towards advancing our mission to build the whole-Earth digital twin.

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York called Geopipe part of the "next generation of innovative entrepreneurs." The GENIUS program is sponsored by the state’s economic development organization and by private VCs; selected as one of five finalists in 2019, we have been building a team in Syracuse since January 2020, adding to our presence in New York City and Burlington, Vermont.

A culmination of eight months of hard work in Syracuse, the $1M GENIUS NY 2020 prize is a decisive validation of Geopipe's vision to make perfect digital twins of the real world, automatically labeled and modeled by algorithms. Our work has enabled simulation creators, automotive companies, game developers, architects, and many others to instantly load any area of the real world into virtual space for interaction, simulation, and visualization.

Dr. Christopher Mitchell delivers the winning pitch.

For example, Geopipe makes it possible to train autonomous cars and drones for millions of hours in virtual space before endangering real properties and lives; to visualize new real estate projects long before construction begins; and to create immersive virtual experiences set in the real world. We have had the privilege of continuing our rapid growth this year alongside BotsAndUs, DroneSeed, Eget Liber, and Skyy Network, and look forward to future collaboration in Central New York.

We're already turning this fuel into activity: if you're a good fit for one of our open roles, or are just passionate about building the next generation of geospatial technology, we want to talk to you!

Soon we will share more about our plans for the rest of 2020 and beyond: training the Geopipe AI, expanding our coverage areas, growing our partnerships in geospatial and gaming tech, and building our team in a post-COVID world.

If you haven’t checked us out in a while, log in to Geopipe ContextSnap with your credit card information (you won’t be charged) to see the growth in our whole-Earth digital twin, or test out our Unity SDK/API.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours in digital reality,
Geopipe, Inc.
