About NSF I-Corps:NSF I-Corps (pronounced "eye-core") is an accelerator program created by the NSF to help translate scientific and engineering discoveries into commercial ventures. Participating teams receive a $50,000 grant and gain real-world, hands-on, immersive learning about what it takes to successfully transfer knowledge into products and processes that benefit society. The NSF runs at least three cohorts a quarter, at sites nationwide.

About the NYU Tech Venture Program: In 2021, the Entrepreneurial Institute announced the creation of the NYU Technology Venture Program (TVP) to fund and support technology commercialization by teams of NYU faculty, PhD students, postdocs, and researchers. The TVP is a 3-part program, of which the middle part is the NSF I-Corps program described above. Upon the successful completion of NSF I-Corps, teams will be invited to apply to the final program in the TVP series, the NYU Technology Venture Accelerator. In total, by participating in the program, project teams are eligible for $100,000 in grant funding.

These programs are for STEM-based NYU faculty, PhDs, postdocs, researchers, and their collaborators with research or an invention they are seeking to commercialize through a startup venture.
