More about the speaker:
Chris Maguire (Gallatin '04) stumbled into entrepreneurship as an undergraduate at NYU. After building hobbyist websites to host his weird drawings, he discovered people who were willing to give him money to build somewhat more serious-minded websites.
Chris has co-founded a small handful of companies but the one you’re most likely to have heard of is Etsy.com, which was originally presented as a marketplace for “all things handmade”. He currently co-owns a homemade ice cream parlor in Philadelphia called Tubby Robot Ice Cream Factory and is in the process of expanding its scope in the dual pursuit of fun and deliciousness.
