Hundreds of members of the NYU community and NYC’s startup ecosystem gathered at Paulson Auditorium on Oct. 20 for the 12th Annual NYU Entrepreneurs Festival, our largest event of the year.

The event kicked off with Welcome & Opening Remarks with Frank Rimalovski, Executive Director of the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, and Cynthia Franklin, Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship.

Next up to the stage was Jared Sorin, Partner at Brown Rudnick, who introduced the day's main event: The keynote discussion with Michael Montero (CAS '96), Founder of Resy, and moderator Ope Runsewe, Head of Business Development at Amex Ventures. Montero answered questions from the audience about his time at NYU and path as a successful startup founder.

Following the keynote discussion was the Annual "Starting a Startup While in School" Panel, comprising four NYU students and alumni who launched their ventures during their studies. This year's Panel included:

After a Networking Break, Johnnie Walker, Director of Rooled, introduced the 2023 teams from the Stern Venture Fellowship and Summer Launchpad for the 6th Annual NYU Startup Demo Day competition.

Each team pitched their venture on stage for three minutes, after which the crowd voted for the Audience Choice winner via a mobile poll. And this year's Demo Day Audience Choice winners were ...

Alexandr Pak, PhD (GSAS) of Flection AI, and Marcos Brisson (Shanghai '23) of Kaizntree!

Thank you to everyone who came out to this year's NYU Entrepreneurs Festival. And much gratitude to our generous sponsors who helped us bring the 2023 Festival to life: Brown Rudnick, Fenwick & West, Blackstone Launchpad, Dentons, Rooled, Amex Ventures, AWS, First Republic Bank, and the Max Stenbeck Charitable Trust!
