NYU makes the list of the best universities in the world for entrepreneurs and startup founders, according to PitchBook’s 2022 annual list of university rankings released Monday.

NYU charts 10th in graduate programs for entrepreneurs and 18th in undergraduate programs for entrepreneurs out of the 100 highest-ranking universities worldwide. Additionally, the university’s graduate and undergraduate programs rank 7th and 6th, respectively, on the Top 50 lists for female-founded companies.

PitchBook's annual list of rankings compares universities by tallying up the number of alumni entrepreneurs whose ventures received a first round of funding between Jan. 1, 2012, and Oct. 21, 2022. The undergraduate and graduate rankings are powered by PitchBook data and are based on an analysis of more than 144,000 VC-backed founders.
