VC Pitchfest

The VC Pitchfest is a unique opportunity for NYU student and faculty entrepreneurs to present their ventures and innovations to Venture Investors, fellow NYU entrepreneurs, and the wider startup community in a friendly competition. In the past, teams have received valuable feedback from professional investors representing funds such as Greycroft, FF Ventures, Techstars and Two Sigma Ventures. Teams are selected by the Entrepreneurial Institute team. We encourage you to reach out to us if your venture is ready to participate!

NYU entrepreneurs will be pitching to venture capitalists and angel investors during one of the three industry specific pitchfests–Social Innovation, Life Sciences or Technology Ventures. These take place 1-2 times per semester.

What is the format of the event?

Each team will have five minutes to pitch, followed by three minutes of questions and feedback from venture investors. You will have a chance to hear from early-stage NYU startups, give them valuable feedback, and network with each other.

Audience members will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite pitch.

When does the VC Pitchfests take place?

The Technology Ventures Pitchfest takes place 2x during a semester and the Life Sciences and Social Innovation Pitchfests takes place once a semester. Check the events calendar for dates and RSVP details.

    Who is selected to pitch?

Three to four teams are invited to pitch their startup businesses to investors and gain feedback. Committed teams that have been working on their venture for a dedicated period are invited to participate in the pitchfest.

Industry specific investors are invited to serve on the panel.
