SBIR/STTR Workshop

Each year, 11 federal agencies set aside more than $2 billion to fund research and development at small businesses, through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs.

Join us for a special workshop on applying for NSF & NIH SBIR/STTR grants and learn how to apply for SBIR and STTR grants, in order to fund the commercial development of your research and inventions!

The workshop will be led by Jim Greenwood, Founder of Greenwood Consulting Group, Inc. Jim has been involved in the SBIR program since its inception in 1983 and teaches SBIR/STTR workshops across the country. He has served as a commercialization reviewer for the SBIR and STTR programs at the NSF, reviewing both Phase 1 and 2 proposals, as well as proposals for NSF’s supplemental programs such as Phase 1b and Phase 2b.

The agenda for the SBIR Workshop includes:

• Overview of the SBIR/STTR program
• NSF & NIH Phase I Instructions
• Review of Sample NIH Phase I Proposal
• SBIR/STTR Cost Proposal Basics

Following the workshop, Jim will be available for 1:1 consultations for up to 30 mins. You will receive additional information on how to sign up for these consultations after registering for the workshop.

This workshop is only open to Msc & PhD candidates & Post-docs affiliated with NYYU research.
