September's speaker is Tara Hankinson (Stern '15), founder of TALEA, NYC's first exclusively woman-founded and operated craft brewery.

Tara Hankinson is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TALEA Beer Co., New York City’s first woman- and veteran-owned production brewery. Blending an NYU Stern MBA and a corporate marketing background at The New York Times and PwC with a passion for hospitality, she set out to disrupt a male-dominated industry. Under her executive leadership, TALEA has scaled from a single Brooklyn flagship in 2021 to five additional high-volume taprooms across NYC, actively expanding the craft beer market to underserved female consumers.

Her work in pioneering this inclusive, approachable space earned her a spot on Inc.’s Female Founders list. When she isn’t scaling the business or launching high-profile collaborations with brands like The New York Public Library, Tara can be found enjoying a sour while watching her 3 young children.
