For the seventh year in a row, inspiring young innovators who are building promising ventures will come together (virtually) for a friendly pitchoff competition before a panel of judges at the NYU-Yale Pitchoff.


Join us on Thurs, July 9th to hear from these rising stars from six seed-stage startups. Three teams represent New York University and three will represent Yale University

Meet the 3 NYU teams pitching:


The Thinkers: an e-learning platform for high school students (13-17 years old) who are seeking to strengthen their executive functioning, future planning, and interpersonal skills through live classes, dynamic facilitation, and peer to peer interaction.


Team Members: Rina Patel (Gallatin ‘20), Micah Copeland


Veccnet offers ubiquitous, ultra-reliable, and low-latency connectivity, allowing drone service providers to reliably control their long-range delivery drones and benefit from fewer mission abortions and reduced costs compared to satellite links.


Team Members: Kim Mahler (CUSP Postdoc), Tom Piechotta


Sabai: creates sustainable furniture without the compromise. Sabai is affordable, flat-packed, quick shipped, and beautiful to boot.

Bild: a platform for small-medium businesses (SMBs) that integrates automation and AI into sourcing manufacturers and suppliers.


Pradyut Paul (School of Management '21)


Cambium Carbon: this reforestation hub concept aims to help cities meet their climate targets by investing in urban mill infrastructure, building nursery capacity, and channeling revenues to scale new planting.


Ben Christensen (School of the Environment '20), Marisa Repka (School of the Environment '20)


Juno: a reusable menstrual product that can be worn for up to 12 hours. Juno has a built-in applicator to aid with insertion and a stem that allows the product to be drained. Juno is the first reusable menstrual product that includes a pain treatment mechanism.

About the NYU Summer Launchpad


NYU Summer Launchpad is a nine-week accelerator for teams of NYU student entrepreneurs that provides $10,000 in grant funding (non-dilutive, zero equity), startup skills bootcamps, 1:1 coaching from NYC entrepreneurs and early stage investors, collaborative workspace for the summer, pro-bono legal incorporation counsel, web hosting credits and other perks to help get the ventures launched. The program is run by the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute.


About the Tsai CITY Summer Fellowship


The Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale's Summer Fellowship is a multi-week, full-time accelerator to incubate new companies, nonprofits, and initiatives. The fellowship includes $15,000 in grant funding for each team, along with a rigorous sequence of workshops, sprints, mentorship, coaching, and pitch opportunities. This year, 11 student teams were selected to join the cohort.
