Founder to Funder - How the founder journey informs investment decisions with AJ Smith
Get ready to revolutionize your entrepreneurial journey! Join us for an eye-opening workshop with AJ Smith (CAS '14), Director of Community & Growth at Outlander VC, who will highlight the founder to investor journey, Outlander's Founder Framework, and how a unique music & tech background helped him prepare me to invest.
More about the speaker:
Now on the team at Outlander VC, a top-decile lead pre-seed & seed VC fund, AJ’s career started with the Office of Naval Research building infrared sensors and winning awards from the American Society of Optics. But the startup bug bit in 2013 (while finishing his Masters at NYU) when he joined the Winklevoss-backed crypto exchange, BitInstant. Since then, AJ has been a 2X founder (including through one eLab company!), 5X CTO/Head of Product, and investor.
AJ has collaborated with partners like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, SpaceX, Spin Magazine, and more. And as a fun fact, AJ has also been a chart-topping songwriter, producer, and recording artist (and former NYU UltraViolet Live winner! Go Violets!)
