Finding and Vetting a Co-Founder

Host: NYU Entrepreneurial Institute

Event Details

Speaker: Sergei Revzin, School16 (NYU Mentor)

Finding & building your team and Co-Founder can be challenging! Join us to learn about tips & tactics for success in finding & vetting your team.

About the speaker: Co-founder of School16, an online adult education venture, and Venture Investor at NYU, leading technology investments and teaching entrepreneurship at the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute. Sergei has been a part of several early stage teams, helping with initial business traction through consultative sales, strategic partnerships, marketing, and effective communication with technical partners.

I've been fortunate enough to learn from some amazing entrepreneurs about what it takes to build a business from the ground up, and have been partnering with talented technical teams on building web products since I was 19 years old. Concepts have included a peer to peer online ad network, a coffee subscription service, an advice and skill sharing network and more.

Prior to my time at NYU, I ran entrepreneurship programs and a venture fund at Venture for America, including the organization's accelerator with cohorts in Philadelphia, and Detroit.

The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute provides reasonable accommodations to people with disabilities. Requests for accommodations for events and services should be submitted at least two weeks before the date of the accommodation need. Please email carol.ourivio@nyu.edu for assistance.
