Thinking about raising your first round? Join us for this session where Diana Melencio, will cover how to identify the right investors, how to build an investor database, and how to effectively communicate your startup. The primary focus will be on raising an angel round.

About the speaker:

Diana Melencio is an early stage investor in tech-enabled B2B & DTC companies. Previously, she built and scaled two technology companies in retail and consumer tech: securing funding and successfully leading major partnerships; most notably with the Hudson's Bay Company, Neiman Marcus, MasterCard, and Hearst Media. Prior to starting these companies, she spent a decade investing and consulting for reputable $12B+ funds in San Francisco and New York. During this time on Wall Street, Diana was a top ranking analyst in the Specialty Retail sector, as named by the Financial Times. She has appeared on the Today Show, quoted in CNN, US News, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes,, Bustle, MarketWatch, and related to start-ups, fundraising, entrepreneurship and innovation.
